Trimming Audio Files with the Slip Tool in Final Cut Pro 5

"This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip we will finish up fine tuning our stereo and mono tracks. You can also hold the shift key. All right so shift, you are going to hold the shift key and then hit it, shift key and over, shift key and over. Now that moves it by the default number of frames which you can change up in the general tabs which I will show you in one of the other volumes. Right now the default for me is 5 so by holding shift and hitting the left and right bracket and moving 5 frames over So it is a lot easier than just dragging it around with your mouse trying to get some place. You know you can also do the same thing with the slip tool. You can grab the slip tool over here and then I can just kind of slip. Like if you notice it is moving. You can see the .WAV form moving as I am slipping the song to the right or slipping the song to the left. Using the same keys, using the brackets, slipping it I can hold my shift, slip it via 5 frames. So it is just so much better than using the mouse. I really suggest you use this when you are trying to link up 2 sounds to sound like they are together. "
