"This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I am going to show you how to use the blur filter to enhance your video. So now let me show you a practical use of filters here. I'll show you how to do kind of a cool effect using a blur and what we are going to do is like this was the beginning of a video, we are kind of instead of fading in, we will blur it in and it will be pretty cool. To get started first we need a clip that we are going to blur. So I've got this beginning clip going on here, so let's watch it. Okay, that's kind of boring. Right. So what I want to do with the clip is because this side of the street is pretty dull but this other side is really nice looking so I think I am just going to reverse the footage and if you notice in my music here, I have that big down beat right here. Want me to play it for you? I have that down beat marked. So I am just going to go ahead and just drag the edge of my clip to that mark and I am just going to go ahead and use command J and that will bring up my speed modifier. I am just going to go and click reverse and click okay. It's now to reverse my footage. Now what is it going to look at when I watch it. Okay so now it ends on that down beat and it ends on this nice looking building instead of the cruddy nothing building. That happens to be right across the street. I don't know if that strikes anybody as weird. It did me is why we filmed it. So now we need to put a filter to it. If we would just do a fade in and add one for you, just right click and add crosses off. Okay. Yeah that's pretty cool. We can get a lot cooler with it so go over to your browser here and go to video filters and then come down to blur and then garshon blur. Make sure that you double click to this clip so that it comes up in the viewer and just go over to your filter's tab and just drag garshon blur to the right end or you can just drag it right on top of the clip. So now we have garshon blur. Now we are going to set some key frames here."
