"Hi! I'm C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I am going to show you how you can apply multiple filters to one or multiple clips. So I am sure you have been noticing this theme of stacking layers up on top of layers and all over the place layers, layers, layers. You know what now that I think about it, Final Cut Pro is just a huge sandwich. It is so huge it is a sandwich inside of a sandwich and you know what we don't get none off of that. I think Final Cut Pro is on the right track here. When was the last time you went out to eat and had the option of ordering a sandwich inside a sandwich inside another sandwich that was inside of two sandwich's; never, me neither. I definitely haven't and I kind of think that is unconstitutional. I think that we need to say yea, you, you and me or you and I for all the grammar OCD's out there, we need to start a website and create a revolution. But first let's talk about how to apply multiple filters to clips. We'll take over the world later. In case you didn't know you can apply more than one filter to a clip at a time. It doesn't have to be just one or seven or six, you can add as many as you want to it. So if you apply more than one filter to a clip the filters are actually applied sequentially. So you know first filter, then second filter and third filter. They are not just shoved into one omnipotent filter. So for example, let's say I apply a blur filter; let me go ahead and do that for you. I'll show you because visually stimulating things, yeah, I'm just going to show you. So pull this blur. Open up a clip in your viewer here and let's just go ahead and pull a garshon blur. So garshon blur and then bring in a ponripple. Now click the filters tab. Okay you can see the order. First is the garshon and then there's the ponripple. Now let me turn the garshon way up. All right, you see the ponripple looks like with garshon first. When I switch these, the effect will change; watch this. See it looks different. It looks even more blurred now. Not as much ripple to it. So it does matter which one is first and which one is second because you can achieve different effects depending on what order your filters are in. "
