"Hi! This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I will finish up introducing filters. You also have other filters like wide screen, soft edge filters and those both allow you to further manipulate the areas of transparency in a key clip; expanding, contracting, now feathering all the areas of transparency and you can fine tune all of it. Now you also have third parties filters. Falco Pro comes with the standard filters but you also have third party filters that are available if you want to particular effects. So if you look at the effects tab up here in the browser we can see some of the standard filters that come with Final Cut Pro such as the blur and channel but I also have some third party filters in here and I am going to tell you about them and you can probably look into them because they are really nice. There is a set called Eureka and they have a free set which is right here and they also have a pay set. You get some really nice filters out of this like silk stocking. If you ever watched soap operas they have that kind of softness to the image. Well silk stocking does that effect. It does a great job of recreating that effect. That is what I wanted to say. You also have something called G-free and G-film. They have one set is free and one set you would pay for. They have different filters. You also have ones from River Rock Studios; they have a nice filter that turns day into night for you as best as day can be turned into night anyway. There is a whole plug in group called Sapphire plug ins. They are just amazing. They have tons of stuff but they are expensive though. You might or might not want to look into those. A lot of these will let you test them out first so you can check and see what they do. You've got Stib's Filters, Tom's Filters and a group called Too Much Too Soon so there is a whole bunch of different filters that aren't built in that you can add to do nice cool effects such as instant black and white or anamorphic squeeze. A nice little mosaic here basically turns your video into kind of a mosaic looking portrait. There is a lot of stuff involved. You can also create your own filters. They have an affects script effects language that is built into this where you can actually look at the coding for these filters and change them around or create your own. "
