"What's up? My name is Darin, on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you guys how to create a song using reason. Alright, so in this segment right here I'm going to show you guys using the Matrix. Matrix is pretty cool. Say for instance if you don't have a media controller, you can use the Matrix to work reason as well. Or you can use it just to have like repetitive beats. So like say for instance if I create a new synthesizer, like I choose Maelstrom again. I go ahead and keep the sounds that's already in there, which is pretty much these sounds right here. So if I had that sound in there right now, all I have to do is create right underneath it. Go ahead and choose Matrix. The pattern sequencer is pretty cool to use. These bars, empty slots underneath this long bar of red is your volume. If you select it all the way up, and you hit run, it plays it at one sixteenth. You can also change that one sixteenth all the way up to one twenty-eighth, or go down to a half or one fourth. So it's pretty cool to use. And changing notes of it also. So that's how it sounds like that. And if you wanted to tie it as well, you go back down to the volume and make those notes come to front. So pretty much you just got to play with it. The patterns on here, so say for instance you have this. It's like two, I have another one in here. And you just cycle back and forth. So you see what I mean? It's pretty cool to use. I like using it when I'm on the road and I forget my media controller. I go ahead and use the Matrix sequencer."
