"What's up? My name is Darin on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you guys how to create a song using reason. In this clip right here I'm going to show you guys the Malstrom. It's a pretty cool synthesizer; it's almost like the subtracter in a way. But, it has two different sounds that you can add to it; that's its special effect. So, say for instance we go to the "browse" folder, and we chose one of the sounds. I'm going to chose the rhythmic. Say for instance I want one of these sounds out of here. So, I have one of the sounds on the Malstrom down. There's a second part down here; it's called OSCB. We'll change that to like a saw. Go ahead and select the on button for it, and it will have like a buzz to it. So, it has a buzz to it. I you want to have a reverb on it (only on the saw), you can have it on there. So that's pretty cool with that. It has a low delay, and it kind of jumps back and forth, back and forth. Another thing you can do is have the filter beat which is the cone, the minus cone, the AMLP. So, say for instance I had this sound on here. So, you can change with that as well. Also you can do the sync, change the rate. It's on 3/16 right now. If I put it on 1/8, or I could put it on 1/16. So it's pretty much just messing with it. You can change either the out-slider A or the out-slider B. You can change/convert the sound, mess with either the Modulator A or Modulator B, change the peak of it, you can also change the index and the motion. So, it's pretty unique to use, just try messing with that synthesizer and with all these you can just lay it out and record as well. I'll get to that later on into the segments."
