"DIXON GILLETTE: Welcome back to Expert Village, my name is Dixon Gillette and let's continue our tutorial on Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Now aside from having turbine engines, jets pretty much fly like any other airplane does. However, they are usually heavier and their cockpits are arranged a little bit differently. Here, we can see this jet has the glass cockpit panel. All of the information that you saw in your primary instruments in your propeller aircraft is seen here, such as your air speed indicator here which is instead of being on a dial is run vertically in the tape fashion. And also our altimeter here is also read vertically here. And right here, you can see a digital version of your horizontal situation indicator. And up here are all of your buttons and controls for auto-pilot settings. You'll notice that this will be found on virtually every jet aircraft you fly, however, their layout might change slightly."
