"One of the greatest outdoor dangers for children is water. Water safety begins with a dog dish and goes all the way up to your family swimming pool. This includes plastic wading pools, bird baths, fish ponds- wherever water can collect after a rain. Even a puddle from a hose into a sand box. Parents think that maybe children can only drown in a bathtub; well, that’s not so. They can slip and fall and hit their head and drown in something as simple as a dog bowl full of water. Less than an inch of water can be very detrimental to your child. Never leave your child unsupervised around water. "
