If your stated expertise is "being a mom" you should be careful to limit your advice to things that are supported by that particular experience and expertise. This video in particular includes medical advice and info on child development that seems to be based on your opinion. If it is indeed based on your *professional* opinion, (based on facts and extensive education and credentials), you should state those credentials in your "expertise" section. Otherwise, please be responsible by only presenting the skills and techniques that have worked for you, as a mom. Those can be very helpful to new moms. But please do not abuse your position here to present your opinions as facts, when that is not the case. As a credentialed, experienced parenting educator, I know the impact your words can have on parents. I'm just suggesting you be careful in your wording. Your viewers may just assume you have medical and developmental expertise because of the way you state your advice. "Some experts say" could be a better way to begin your comments about babies' necks and the influence of TV on development. But you should be able to cite your sources for credibility.

Hi I’m Vanessa and today we are going to be talking about development tips for your baby. First things first, remember you cannot spoil your newborn. Hold them, love them and pick them up. You cannot spoil your newborn by holding them too much. You can hold them all day long and it is not going to be bad for them developmentally when they are a newborn. As you can see Andrew here, is having some tummy time and he is very happy doing so. Obviously this is very good for their arm and leg movements, their neck muscles and their back muscles. Tummy time is very important and this is all that it is. When you hear tummy time just leave them on their tummy on a blanket on the floor for however long you think is good because you are the mom and you are the expert. This will eventually lead to them crawling. It is very important that a newborn when they become an infant that they get practice crawling before they walk because that helps to develop left right coordination, eye and hand coordination and all kinds of things. It is important that they crawl before they walk. So, what you don’t want to do is you don’t want to put them into a toy that has the ability to hold them and to support them and allow them to walk prematurely. You want them to crawl before they walk. Bouncers however are good. Toys that they sit in and they bounce. They go up and down. They develop their leg muscles and that is very good for them. Now a lot of car seats come with head rests that go around and support the baby’s head when they are in a car seat that is actually detrimental. A lot of people don’t know that. They think that it is good to help support the head. What we don’t realize is that what helps support our head but for baby’s if their head is all crooked although we would be uncomfortable, actually it is helping to develop the neck muscles. So when they are all contorted in these really weird positions that you can’t possibly get in there developing their muscles you want them to develop those muscles. Another thing to remember it is actually not good for babies (newborns) to watch television. It is over stimulating which can be a problem. You don’t want them to become over stimulated and it also detracts from their 3 dimensional learning capabilities. So television is not a good idea. What is a good idea is music singing to your baby. Babies love to hear mommy’s sing to them, pick them up, hold them, sing to them, love them; you can’t do that enough. Even if you think you have the worst voice in the world, your baby will love it. Just sing to your baby, play classical music, interact with your baby talking to them and having a conversation is very good for babies. They learn that communicating is a two-way street and that they will talk and you will talk and your face response is so great.
