"Hi, in this clip I want to talk about your legal rights as a mother to nurse anywhere that you'd like. Nursing mothers have the legal right to nurse anywhere in public. So anywhere that you are, alone or with a girlfriend, or your husband. In a restaurant, the mall, even on a bus or on an airplane, you have the legal right to feed your baby. So don't let anybody tell you that you don't. If somebody asks you to please get up and leave, or that what you're doing is inappropriate, let them know that your baby has a right to eat, and you have a right to be here and to nurse your baby. Now if you're in someone's private home, they do have the right to ask you to go into another room, in which case you might choose not to go back to that person's house. But anywhere in public that you are, you have a right to feed your baby. Check into your state's laws. Some states--a lot of them--have a law about giving women the right to nurse their baby in public. Some don't, and some are working on it, so check for your individual state's rights. But go out, into the public, and feed your baby and be proud. I'm Laine Podell Camino, from A Mother's Haven. Have fun nursing in public."
