"So your baby is teething and irritable and a little bit fussy, and you're wanting to know how to ease their discomfort. Well, there are a lot of different things that you can use to do that. One of which is a washcloth that you've frozen. And in another clip, I'll show you how to do that. Some other things are teething toys. I really like the wood teething toys, something like this that the baby can really get into their mouth and chew on. They really like this, because it puts lots of pressure, good pressure, on their gums. It helps alleviate the discomfort pressure that they're experiencing. Some babies like softer little lovies that they can chew on that has some density in it that they can get in there and really chow down on. So this is another option, and I'll talk more about these in a later clip as well. Another fun option is a sterling silver teether, because this stays cool and it's really nice to chew on. It can get really back in the gums where they're hurting a lot. Other things that you can do are distract your baby by using different toys and different activities to distract them. So you can play with the toy, the one that makes noise usually is good at distracting them. It doesn't last too long, so have lots of them at hand. Another one would be one that they can play with and hold and shake and also chew on as well. Other ways to help alleviate their discomfort is through either homeopathic or traditional remedies like acetaminophen. In subsequent clips, I will talk about each of these and how to use them with your baby."
