"Hi! My name is Leslie and I am from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is all about the PTA. Chapter 06: Do I have to pay to be a member of the PTA? You might have to pay to be a member of the PTA. The chances are it's nothing to worry about. Many parents are hesitant to join the PTA because they fear it will cut into their already over scheduled lives and stretched budgets. Not to worry. Although dues do vary from district to district, annual membership fees from most elementary schools, PTA's are extremely affordable only ranging from $5.00 TO $25.00 a year. Meetings usually occur only one evening a month but many only happen quarterly which you are encouraged, but not required to attend. "
