"Hi, I'm Liz Hood on behalf of Expert Village and I am talking about how to give your baby a bath. Now, in this segment I am going to be talking about how to deal with cradle cap. Now, Aiden is about seven and a half months old and he still has just a tiny bit of cradle cap left. So what we are going to do now is put just a little bit of oil on his scalp. I already have a little bit on there but he only ever had it on the very top of his head so that's where I am going to really concentrate. Now, some people say to put the oil on to their scalp and leave it on over night but what that does is that causes the scales to stick even more to their head so I would not recommend that. I would recommend only putting it on right before you're going to shampoo it off and as far as the oil that you use, you can use any kind of oil like olive oil, vegetable oil, sunflower oil, whatever you happen to have in your house. Alright, and now we are going to go ahead and put him in the bath. Okay, now that I have got him in the bath and I have washed everything else I am going to go ahead and take this old, soft toothbrush and just kind of do it up in little circles on his scalp. Now you don't want to do this too hard. You don't want it to hurt them. I am getting lots of little scales off. When he had cradle cap really bad it was all concentrated to this area so that is the only place I am concentrating this. Alright and now I am going to shampoo it. Now the best thing to do is to kind of leave the shampoo in there. Kind of work out the scales itself and I what I am using is just regular Johnson's Head to Toe Body Wash and you know I would not recommend using adult dandruff shampoo unless you are asked to do so by an actual physician. Don't just go ahead and use your own dandruff shampoo on your baby because that is really harsh. One thing that you should not do is pick them off with your finger nail, that really hurts them. Just kind of gently work it out each shampoo and it will eventually disappear. "
