"Hi, I'm Liz Hood on behalf of Expert Village and I am going to be talking about how to wash a baby's face in the bath. You need to do this absolutely first, before you do anything else. What you need to do is just take a washcloth with plain water, don't use soap, and just kind of gently go over their face and make sure that you get around the nasal passages and in the little crease of the chin right here and especially the little crease in his neck. Now, to really do some detail work around his eyes you need to use little cotton swabs, or just little things like that and just kind of gently wipe from inner corner to outer corner. And the same thing with the ears, just gently clean the outside coils of the ear, there is no need to go inside of there with a Q-Tip. Plus you don't really want to put a Q-Tip in a baby's ear anyway because they can kind of jump around or jerk around and it's real easy to perforate the ear drum. "
