"LYN EPSTEIN: Now, I've just shown you how to show the kids how to make monster toast or the monster face, rather. Now, is the time to pass out the supplies because if you pass them out too early, as I said, sometimes they'll going to be playing with them of instead of paying attention to you. So, this is the time to pass out the plates and I do one thing at a time, and it just makes them talk about the things longer and that way, too, they're naming where the things that you're using. So, first, it's the plates. Then I'll give them some bread. Then they could pick out their brush, if they like to name, like the type handle or sometimes, you can just hand it to them. And then, I like to give a child one cup of color at a time. Now, if you're working with a few kids, this is when you're juggling. You're working really fast. And, again, if something spills, you have a towel. It's no big deal. And really, don't make a big deal out of it because this when kids learn when to freak out and not freak out. So, if they do they have a big mess, that's why they had, remember, their nice t-shirts on as their smocks. If it falls, be cool about it. "Hey, kids! No big deal. We can clean up. Look how fast, pssh, pssh." No big deal, and really, keep it simple because you don't want to freak them out. There's enough things in the world that will freak them out. A little mess is not a big deal. So, they have their paint brushes, they're ready to go, and it might take a few minutes for them to finish. Just talk them through it, find out what they're doing, and if you can't figure out what they're making again, it's no big deal. It is fun. Don't be too critical. It's not you making it, it's them making it. And don't help them too much, okay? 'Cause I know you parents like to do that, it's not perfect. Alright, so they have all their supplies and they're ready to go. So sit back if you can, ha, ha, and watch them make their toast. Actually, it's bread. We have to cook it first then it is toast."
