"LYNN EPSTIEN: Alright. We're getting some bread now. Now, remember, the kids do not have their supplies yet because you want them to watch you and the demonstration is really important. Okay. So, this is what you do; you say, "Kids, we're going to make a face. We're going to make a monster face. Hooh, scary." Alright. So, you dip your brush into your new paint and you go like this. Here's an eyeball. He's sad and tired or mean, I don't know yet. There's another eyeball and you might need a couple of paint strokes to get that color on there but you could see how it comes out. It's pretty nice and now some scary--a scary mouth. Alright. And they can mix colors, if they want to change colors and maybe do like, "Oh, I want my monster to have green eyes and I want my monster to have--oh, just a big happy face 'cause he's a happy monster." I saw Monsters.com. Was it .inc? So, you have your different monster face. And because of the age level, don't worry if it's not perfect. It's not supposed to be a Picasso portrait of a monster face. It's a two to three or four or five year old making them. So, don't be too critical. Just let them have fun. Now, if you want to make it last a little bit, you can also give the bread in diagonals. In that way, if they mess up, it's no big deal. You've got more bread to work through, okay? So, you could do the whole toast or just one slice like this. Now, our monster toast is done. But if they can't make the monster face, I have some alternatives that they can make and you can demonstrate."
