"Hi, I'm Pam on behalf of Expert Village and now we're going to talk about understanding behaviors in children. Now, as you've seen, understanding and kind of having a step about the children is going to help you catch their behavior before it starts. Fighting over things, pulling on things, snatching toys, it's completely common and children are going to get agressive, they're going to get upset and there's going to be conflicts. That's normal. The way to deal with it is with you. You want to make sure you're responding to the children in a positive way. That's the focus, positive. Focus on the positive. You want to be positive. Remember, you are very intimidating as it is, because you're a lot bigger than the children, just in general. As nice as you are, you are still a lot bigger. Imagine someone that was three or four feet taller than you. Even if they are coming up with a smile, it's kind of intimidating. So, when you're yelling at a child, or you're talking negatively to them, they pick up on that and that's going to cause them to feel more anxious, more nervous, and that's not going to lead towards a happy feeling that you want to solve the situation positively."
