"Hi, I'm Roxanne Bedford Hoge. Welcome back to dressing for pregnancy. What do you do when you're due in the middle of winter? Well, you have your own personal heater strapped to your body in the form of your baby so things are going to be a little challenging. You're going to want to dress in a lot of layers because, one minute you'll be fine and the next minute you'll be sweltering. The good news is, a lot of your regular winter wear is adaptable for maternity clothes. This sweater is not a maternity sweater but it has enough give in it to be able to work over your protruding belly. Here's another thing I like about this sweater. The deep V. Adding sort of a deep v here will give the illusion of length. The problem with a lot of winter clothes is that they're going to jam you up and make you look very apple like but if you get a V going in there you'll get that proportion right back. What to do about a coat. Well, here's the good news. You can buy a maternity coat, although they can be tricky to find, and can be a little pricey. I say, use your own coat. In all but the most brutal of blizzards, they'll be fine, you can leave them a little bit open, and just make sure that you have a great scarf or other laying piece to protect your front. So, use your own coat as long as you can, and here is where it is good to steal from your husband. Grab his sweaters. There you go."
