How to Create Stories with a Child

"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Sally Head and today I'm going to talk to you how to nurture your preschoolers imagination. Making up stories is very important to a child's imagination sometimes you are going to be in the car and the child gets bored and you can start a story by saying "Once upon a time there was a dog in the park" and you ask your child what was the dogs name or where were they going. Or using any prop, anything with pictures on it, making up your story as you go along. Oh I see you have your care bear pillow lets make up a story about the care bears okay. Let's see who do we have here? Share Bear. It looks like Share Bear is swinging on the swing. "One day Share Bear was swinging on the swing and look who was making a rainbow. Who is that? Love alot Bear. Love alot Bear who loved Share Bear so much said come up my rainbow and so Share Bear climbed up the rainbow, look what happened. The rainbow broke out into hearts of all different colors of the rainbow. And then Sunshine Bear slid down the rainbow and it looks like they are all having fun on a beautiful sunny day"."
