on 8/2/2008 Hello! ^_^ I've enjoyed learning from your videos on teaching kids how to swim. Thank you very much. I'm wondering.. when do you introduce the use of goggles so that the kids can see underwater/ or where they're going?

"Hi, I’m Samantha with Sharks and Minnows Swim School and I want to give you some tips on rollover breathing. Rollover breathing is a great way to help your child recover a breath as well as to be able to rest when they’re swimming. What we’re going to do is start off by having Alyssa swim in our current. Make sure to use the cue, the cue is 1, 2, 3, after she’s been swimming for about 7 seconds, we’re going to roll her to breath by placing our hand on her head and flipping her shoulder. Are you ready? 1, 2, 3, so you place a hand on the head, flip the shoulder and then release. I’m going to demonstrate it again. You want to try to get in three breaths before you pick them up. So what we’re going to do is go across the pool doing rollover breathing, 7 seconds for the first one, 5 seconds for the second and then 3 seconds for her final swim. Are you ready? 1, 2, 3, again, again on the head, flip the shoulder and you can release. The second breath the same way and then one more, very good, after that third swim you can go ahead and pick her up or allow her to anchor onto the wall."
