"Hi! This is Stacey from Expert Village. In this video clip, I will show you ways on how to preserve your toys for your kids. The first thing you need to do with a toy you want to preserve is make sure that you clean it and get all the dirt and dust off of it. You can use either mild soap or you can use a Clorox wipe. Make sure that you just get all the edges and clean it really good. The next thing you need to do is if the toy has batteries, you need to make sure to take them out. This way they don't start to rust or corrode and you can preserve the toy for your child. After you take the batteries out if it need to be wiped down, you might want to wipe it down. Just make sure you put all the pieces back together. The next step in preserving your toy is to wrap it in a towel. This way it will keep it safe, it won’t have any scratch marks, and it will keep everything held together. The next thing you'll want to do is find a container to store you toys in. The recommended thing is to use a clear container with a lid. This way you can check on the item and see if there's anything growing inside of it like mildew or mold. This also allows you just to see the shape and the condition that they're in. After you have wrapped and cleaned them, go ahead, place your toys in the container, and make sure that you put the lid on tightly that it clips together. Lastly, you need to find a location to store your container. You need to pick a place that is dry away from the sun and with the moderate temperature. This will allow the toys to stay in good condition for your kids. "
