Series Summary

Baby toys are great when they keep your baby occupied, while contributing to the development of your child; and when they are not strewn about the floor, creating a veritable mine field of foot withering plastic. Yet, baby toys are not just dangerous for your feet, they can be fatal to your baby. It is important to check if toys are age appropriate for your child, and that they are not too small and dangerous for your baby. Additionally it is great for your feet (and your nerves) to learn how to efficiently store baby toys.

In this free online video series, learn all about baby toys from childhood education expert Stacey Olson. Stacey will demonstrate how to test if toys are too small for your baby, and how to check if a baby toy is dangerous for babies. She will show you how to clean and store baby toys, how to determine if a toy is age appropriate for your baby, and what toys are appropriate for 3 month, 6 month, and 9 month old babies.

Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Stacey from Expert Village. In this clip, I will be showing you ways to store toys. The first thing that you can store you stuffed animals in is a classic, the hammock. It's a great way to get the stuffed animals out of the way but you can still be able to reach them. Another place to store stuffed animals is in a laundry basket. This is a cheap way to store them and it is easier for the children to be able to reach them instead of using a hammock. Another idea to store stuffed animals is a container. You can use a clear one so then children will be able to see into it. You could have the lid on it so you can stack stuff on top or you could just leave it open. "
