" Hi! My name is Ann and I am here to talk about homework tips. I want to focus in on readiness skills and alphabets. This is something you need to know to be a successful learner and a great student in school. When you are dealing with alphabet, there are many things you can do at home to assist and make it a lot easier for your child. You can develop an alphabet book where you take the letters from A to Z, you put it on a 8½ x 11 piece of paper so you have the letter A, the letter B, each individual sheet of paper and you can go about the house looking for your, for example letters that match, so if you have the letter A, 8½ x 11 sheet with a letter A, you would take the newspaper, magazine, anything you have and you would have your child, take a pair of scissors and cut out the letters letter A, look in the newspaper, “oh! my goodness here is the letter A, oh! my goodness here is the letter A,” and you are going to cut it out and paste it on the page and then you do it of course for B as many letters as you are willing to do. Another great thing to do is to take a sheet of paper and to you know print out the letters of the alphabet and what you want to do is see if they can identify the letters in order and out of order, another great activity that could be done at home, it is a great home work assignment to support the learning that is occurring within the classroom and again it will help your child to be number one a successful learner."
