" Hi! My name is Ann and I am here to talk about homework tips. For the younger child, readiness skills are often seen in homework assignment. Again teachers at the school will introduce and teach the concepts within the classroom, but it is a great opportunity for you as a parent to deal with readiness skills at home. What do I mean by that? For example, putting together puzzles is a great homework assignment or simply an assignment you want to share with your child. Mazes, dot to dots, matching objects, these are all great readiness skills important that you need to dominate on to important skills you need to know to be a successful reader. These are various skills that you can do within the classroom and at home. Another readiness skill to look at is math. Again what you are doing is here is exposing and showing the child numbers, one to one correspondence and identify. For example, here is the number two what the child is going to do is to color two objects. What you are doing here is showing what two means in terms of objects. You are showing also to teach your child to color within the lines. Again another important readiness concept and skill that you would like to master to again be a successful learner in school. Thank you!"
