Summary: Help your child learn science, with tips on promoting positive study habits, from a parenting expert in this free how-to video.
" Hi! My name is Ann and I am here to talk about homework tips. One of the curricular area that is very difficult to deal with at home is science. It can sometimes be a scary thing for parents. How do you deal with science and sometimes we have a limited knowledge in that field, but we should not be fearful. We should think of various solutions on how to deal with it. One thing I would suggest is whatever the science projects are that you bring in the group if it is a group project and have everyone clearly demonstrate and state what part of the assignment they are doing. Again if there is a lack of knowledge, how to resolve and to answer the questions we can look to outside sources. A great place to see science and action if you will is to go to the museums to go to various presentations that children hear about via school news. It is an opportunity to go with your child and visualize in person with the science concept is that you are talking about and again when you are working in a group that all the students involved sit together and brainstorm perhaps take out some chart paper and brainstorm clearly what knowledge, what is it they already know about the subject, what is it they need to learn about it and what they hope to accomplish when finishing the task."
