" Hi! My name is Ann and I am here to talk about homework tips. As a parent, it is important to know that your teacher is a great resource for understanding and helping with homework. Many a times, an assignment will come home and it is not clear… the clear expectations aren’t there for the homework assignment. It could be that your child didn’t really understand what is needed. Don’t hesitate to contact your teacher and find out what it is that is required of the assignment and we are very lucky in today’s society that many teachers you can contact via e-mail and you can send an e-mail often, ask your questions and whatever doubts you have on the assignment and again you can always call the school and leave a message with the teacher. The teacher is a major resource that certainly you should not hesitate to access to better understand the assignments and help your child be a successful learner in school. And another point to consider is that if there are any homework assignments you don’t understand, certainly make an appointment, a conference appointment, pop into school and say look, I don’t understand this assignment and what can I do and you know, have a list of questions perhaps of what it is you are not clear to help again your child be successful to complete the homework assignment."
