"My name is Courtney Hester on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we're going to be talking about digital photography for kids. This is something if you have younger children you're going to want to help them with, but if you have older kids, they can start doing this on their own more independently. Like a lot of programs and tools on the computer, the younger your child is the more help they're going to need from you, but it's good to let them start getting familiar with these programs so as they get older they can start using them independently. If you're going to let your child help take pictures and put the pictures on the computer, you want to make sure that you leave your cable to the camera assessable. Maybe leave it laying out next to the computer so they can help plug it in. Also a lot of camera's will have a docking station where you can simply just set your camera in. For this camera it simply just plugs into the bottom. We're going to go ahead and download the pictures that we've took earlier. We're going to plug in our camera and we hit import and it's going to go ahead and save these pictures into my documents, into my all pictures folder. Once they've already downloaded, our computer already opens these up for us. Other computers you may actually have to go to my documents and open these pictures up manually. We can go through there and of course delete the ones that we don't like or whatever. I don't like working within this program so I'm going to go ahead and close it and I'm going to my documents and go down to my pictures. Some of these my child took and I want to put in their folder for them to use and manipulate and view, I can go to file, new and I can create a new folder and I'm going to call this child. Then, I can go through here and any pictures that they took that I want to put in their folder for them to use later or to put in other programs, we can click on and put copy and then click on their folder and paste. Now we have a folder that we can fill full of pictures that our child has taken for them to view or to put in other programs to manipulate."
