"My name is Courtney Hester on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we're going to be discussing how to setup a desktop for your child. When I first log into the computer, this is the desktop that comes up on my computer. It has a lot of programs on the desktop that my husband and I use and I don't necessarily want my children using these programs. So we're going to create a login and a desktop for my child to use. You go to start in the control panel and from there you're going to click on user accounts. It's going to give you the choice to create a new account and then you'll type in child or a child's name. For today I'm going to type in child and we'll hit next and then I'm going to make this limited, because I don't want them to have full capabilities and then I'm going to hit create account. Then, what pops up are now our user accounts, I'm going to click on child. On my child's account I can create a password, I'm not going to do that right now. We can also change the picture, your child can pick a picture that they like. I'm going to pick the frog, we're going to change their picture and you can change the account type, again on mine is limited and then we just hit close. Your child's account is ready to go."
