My name is Cindy Glover and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to talk about questions you should ask about educational background and years of experience of early childhood teachers. Particularly you are going to be interested in your child’s potential teachers and their education and background. While you are visiting the classroom, this is the perfect opportunity to talk with the teacher to get an idea of her educational background, is she a degree teacher or does she hold a CDA. A CDA is equivalent to an associates degree in early childhood. Does she have ample time of experience with your child’s age group? Each age group brings with it different dynamics and required expertise on how to guide and supervise that age child. Also, the assistant teacher in the classroom should have some college and experience behind her as well in order to make this team a strong and consistent team in order to run a more smoothly run classroom.
