"Another sign of teething is the refusal of eating. When this happens it could get dangerous. The child needs to make sure they are taking in plenty of nutrients. If this precise for too long you need to call your physician immediately. The doctor could give something for pain or even give you some suggestion on how to feed them or offer them something to drink. Another way to deal with a child teething is with different types of pain relief. Either a topical anesthetic or some form of feeding medicine. Make sure you talk to your physician before giving your child Tylenol to make sure you get the correct dosage, this is done by weight. Another nice great convenient thing that I like to have is baby Orajel teething swabs now. Quick and easy you can throw them in the diaper bag and not worry about having to lose them. All you do is snap off the ends, wait a couple of seconds and the Orajel would come down to the tip of the Q-tip. Then you are able just to nicely and easily rub it on the gum line. This saves you from getting a numb fingers like the old Orajel that you would have to put on your finger before applying it to the mouth. Another way is with children Tylenol once you have spoken to your physician about the Tylenol make sure you give the correct amount. Don't give them just a little bit extra because Tylenol can cause damage to the body if overdosed. Quick and it is easy and all you do it put some in the mouth. Along the side of the jaw and just squeeze a little bit in. My kids like the grape flavor they think it is candy but it is not."
