"Welcome back my name is Alisha and I'm with Expert Village. Another thing that some kids love to have with touch is the colic hold. This puts little bit of pressure on the abdomen and maybe helps relieve any pressure that they also have in there. All you do is pick them up, rest them on their arms and they like it. Another thing is massage, you can get anything; books and videos in infant massage. Some kids just love it and I actually use it every night before I put him to bed. Just rubbing and a touch of someone that they love touching them just relaxes them so much. Another option to try to soothe a crying baby is with motion, some kids just love the idea of just being bounced on a knee or picked up or walked around the house is a nice soothing motion. Another great way is putting them in a infant swing or putting them in a car seat and going for a ride around the block. Everyone knows if you put a kid in a car seat and they end up falling asleep right before you get to your destination. "
