Video Transcript

" Hi, I am Debbie with ExpertVillage.com and we are talking about reading to your children. It is so important to read to your child everyday. Another important thing is where you read with your child. Your child is going to associate happy feelings with reading, if you make your reading time together important and cozy, find a comfortable place and whatever works for you. In a bed, in a big comfy chair, in a rocking chair, in a beanbag on the floor, whatever works for you and your child. A quiet place, a place that is away from distractions, not around the TV, not around the rest of the family, make it a special place for just you and your child. Your child is going to associate really happy memories with reading because you are making it a special time"
