"One hygiene habit that you definitely want to instill in your children at a young age is proper hand washing. Children should be washing their hands when they come in from outside, anytime before they touch any kind of food for a snack, or meal. They should be washing their hands after they use the bathroom. And when they have a cold or a chronic cough, they should be washing their hands a little bit more frequently to prevent the spreading of the germs. And there are some products out there that can help children to become more interested in hand washing process itself. And here's one such product. This is actually some soap, obviously geared towards children. It's got an octopus figure on top, so children are, you know, attracted to it. It's got the bright colors. And Bailey's going to show how this product uniquely helps children to learn how to wash their hands for a lengthy enough time. Show, show the camera Bailey. You can see that it puts a red dot on his hand. Okay. Go ahead. And the idea is that the children have to wash their hands long enough to wash off the red dot. Many times they're washing their hands very briefly and not very thoroughly. And so, if they get into the habit of washing off this red dot, then the idea is that they will eventually start doing it on a regular basis. How's it going, Bailey? Good. Denise: Is the dot gone yet? Getting close. Another product that is very important and helpful to keep around is some sort of hand sanitizer. This, this kind of sanitizers you can find pretty frequently in most stores. You can get them in small sizes. Go, dry your hands over there, Bailey. Get them in small sizes; you can keep them in your purse, in your car and they can be used pretty frequently to help when you don't have access to a sink or running water, that kind of thing. You know a lot of times when your driving around in the van, and they're going to be eating a snack, it's good to be able to pull this out and have them use this to kill the germs. And the other thing that you want to keep in mind with the hand washing is at home you've got a towel that the kids are drying their hands off on, make sure that you are washing that towel and maybe even once, two or three times a week, depending on how often it is being used. Because if it's not being washed frequently or its not getting dried out well between uses, it's going to be, there's going to be a possibility of it harboring some germs."
