"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm giving you some pointers on how to baby proof your kitchen. As I was down there explaining to you how to install the plugs for the outlets, I noticed that this toaster here was plugged in. This is a huge, huge hazard. Any baby, even a scooter who doesn't even know how to crawl, can make his way over to this toaster and push down on here engaging it. The toaster is now on an working. There are obvious burning hazards. Additionally, if a child puts anything into the toaster, there are electrocution hazards. You really don't ever want to leave an appliance, particularly one that's plugged in, anywhere near a baby's reach. You want to lift them high up away from the reach. Again, be really mindful of what outlets are within your baby's access. Go ahead and close off any that your child can get to with the safety devices that we discussed and be sure that everything is turned off. This is already hot. It was just engaged for a few seconds and it's hot. Be sure that you keep your baby safe from anything like this."
