"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we're talking about different ways that we can help keep our family safe at theme parks. One of the things that you are really going to want to make very very clear to your children is that they absolutely have to heed every single warning that is put out by the theme park. The rules are there for a reason, they are there to keep your family safe and they're the most basic and most obvious way that you can help your family be safe. If your child is not the right height for a ride, you really cannot let them ride it and if your child goes off in a group with either you know, siblings or friends, you need to be sure that everybody is cleared that they're not to entice or pressure one another to go on. Children are different sizes and you know your child may be the same age as the friends that they're with but if they're not the right size to ride a ride, then they just have to wait for their friends to come off of the ride. Another thing that you really want to be careful of is keeping your hands and your feet inside of the cars at all times. That is something that is reminded, they are reminded of every single time that you get on a ride but you really need to be clear with your kids that they absolutely have to abide by that rule. I can't tell you how many times I've been at a theme park and have seen people with their hands hanging out, dragging along the water, touching parts of the displays and that can really lead to very serious injuries. So be sure that you make your children very aware of the fact that if they can't abide by the rules and you become aware of it, that they're going to be taken home."
