How to Install Window Locks to Child-proof Your Home

"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village, and today I'm giving you advice to baby proofing your bedroom. You want to be very, very certain that your windows are baby proofed, that the locks are 110% safe from any toddler or young unlatching them and falling out of the window. Even if you're on a first story, you really don't want a child falling. If a child were to climb up on a bed, you can see that even the distance from here onto potentially a brick plant or anything outside of the window could cause some injury. Not only that. There's also the risk that a child can go out the window and start wandering down the street, and there are obvious hazards such as cars, strangers, animals, and all those sorts of things that go with the territory of a little one being outside by themselves. Be sure that you invest in some really sturdy locks. Go above and beyond whatever lock comes with the window. There are certainly many different options out on the market for securing your window, and highly recommend that you look into them, that you find one that really suits your window and the type of window and how it opens and closes, and that will work efficiently to keep your child safe and secured inside the house."
