"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village, and today I'm giving you advice to baby proof your bedroom. One of the things that you're going to want to be sure that your little one doesn't get into is the trash. You might not think that anybody would actually be drawn to it, but as you know, babies, toddlers, crawlers, scooters, they are instantly attracted to things that they shouldn't be. Right? Be sure that any trash that you keep in a bedroom is secured with a very secure lid that a child can't lift off. Something like this. It's very easy for a child to just dig their little hands in there, pull something up out of the trash, and instantly into their mouths. There are choking hazards, bacteria hazards. A dirty diaper can pose E. coli hazards if a child gets into it, and then the hands go straight into the mouth as most babies and toddlers do. Be sure that you're really careful as to how you take care of your trash. Be sure that your child isn't anywhere where they can have access to it at any time."
