"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we're talking about different ways that we can keep our family safe at theme parks. One of the things that you're going to want to remember when you go to a theme park is that you're going to be doing a lot of walking and if it is hot out, your feet are going to get sweaty and you're going to get tired as are your children. So you really want to be sure that you wear comfortable shoes but you also want to be sure that you insist that your children wear comfortable shoes. A lot of times kids can you know have some sort of vision in terms of costumes or something that they want to wear to a theme park. Sometimes little girls want to wear their best princess dresses and their high heels and that really just isn't appropriate or conducive at all to a long day at a theme park. Be sure that you bring comfortable shoes, that your children wear socks that will absorb any sort of moisture in their feet and that they wear tennis shoes, really are the best closed sole shoes that will avoid blisters and also any stubbed or hurt toes. You know you're running around a lot, there are a lot of objects in the way when you go on the rides, you really don't want your child to have any sort of hurt toes because nothing can end a trip to the theme park quicker than tired little feet. So be sure to wear very comfortable shoes."
