"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm showing you how to baby proof your kitchen. Now we're going to go ahead and secure this refrigerator door so that a child can't open it. This is very inexpensive little gadget that you can pick up at any sort of discount store or baby store. Sometimes even at pharmacies they sell them. They're very, very readily available. The way that they work is that you have some double-sided tape on it. It comes with that. You peel it off and you secure part of it to the front of your refrigerator and part to the side. You just want to determine where you want it. I'm going to go ahead and stick that on there. This part actually, for safety reasons, once you snap it shut, it doesn't open. You want to be sure that you have it the right way and where you want it. You go ahead and stick that there. Decide where it is that you want that to go, because you it to be nice and tight. Then just go ahead and snap it shut into a locked position. That's not going to come out anymore. Then to open the refrigerator, you actually just squeeze onto the top and the bottom gray buttons and this comes off like that. You can open the refrigerator. When you're done, you close it, you put that in there, and you can't open the refrigerator. It's a very simple way. When your child has outgrown any sort of risky ages, you can go ahead and just pull them right off and clean out the sticky tape. It's a very worthwhile investment."
