"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village, and today I'm giving you some tips on baby proofing your bedroom. You want to be very sure that you have secured any cords on any sort of lines that are in any room of your house. These are very strangulation hazards. They can be very quickly entangled in them and strangle in them. It happens many, many times and it really is something that can be very easily avoided. There are a couple of different products in the market to deal with these cords. There are some round plastic cylinders that you can attach on there. Those actually hold up the cord. There is something more ascetic, which are these hook type attachments that you just screw right into the window sill. When you pull it up, you can see how the cord starts to become longer. Any slack from the cord you just wrap around there and it keeps it nice and secure out of the baby's reach. This is actually I think a much nicer look when securing your cords. If all you can do is plastic cylinder, which is readily available at any sort of discount store or baby store, I highly recommend that you do that. Many children have strangled in cords and it's a simple accident to avoid."
