"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we're talking about different ways to help keep our families safe at theme parks. One of the things that you're going to want to be aware of is when and where your children use the bathrooms. Public bathrooms at theme parks can be very big and they can be very confusing, sometimes there are long lines and there are actually two doors, one's an entrance and one is an exit but your child can go in one way and you could be waiting at the other end and they've gone back out the other way and are easily separated and lost from you within a minute. So you really are going to want to go with your child, it's the best policy, to go in and just wait outside the stall while your child uses the bathroom. And never send a child under the age of ten into a public bathroom by themselves. It's just not safe. Always make sure that you go in and are waiting right there within an earshot of your child and can see exactly what's going on around them. And if your children are actually old enough that they can separate from you and go off on their own for a little bit to meet up with you later, make sure that they always have someone with them, whether it's a friend or an older sibling and that you make it a steadfast rule that bathrooms are to be used strictly on the buddy system. No child goes in without somebody with them."
