"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm showing you how to baby proof your kitchen. Now we're installing some latches. We've gone ahead and we've installed this part of the latch with our screwdriver, and now we're going to install the catch. This particular catch comes with double-sided tape, but you have to be really careful not to just to use the double-sided tape and leave it at that. This is just for positioning where it is that the catch is going to go. You then have to go ahead and go through the installation process with a drill and a screwdriver. Go ahead and take the double-sided tape and attach it to the back of the catch. Then that's going to help us determine where we're going to install the screw so that we can go ahead and mark the screw. Go ahead and peel that off. You just want to position it where you think it should go. That looks like that's a good spot for it. The tape is holding it down. Again, just temporarily. I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to mark it with a pen in there. Now I know where I'm going to screw them in. I'm going to go ahead and pull this off and use my drill to make 2 small holes for the screws where I marked it. Now we're going to attach our screw bit. Now we're going to find our spot where our little screw hole is. You can go ahead and you can try to give it a little turn if it makes it easier to hold it. Then just go ahead and screw it in. Now we're going to do the next one. Go ahead and screw it in. That's nice and tight, and now we're just going to go ahead and push it closed. Now, when you pull on it, it's not going to open up. It was simple to install. It required very little work. Be sure that you do both sides and that you do any other cabinets you want to keep kids out of. Again, these come in multi packs. You can buy as many as you need. They're very inexpensive and they're definitely worth the investment."
