"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village, and today I'm giving you some tips on baby proofing your bedroom. Again, you're going to want to take a look around and look at things that can pose potential hazards to your child. A table cloth like this looks very pretty on this table. As soon as your baby starts to crawl, it's going to become a hazard for them. They can pull on this tablecloth, pulling the entire table down, which isn't very stable to begin with. Pulling down the entire table down on themselves as well as the lamp, which has a light bulb attached, which will likely hit the ground and break. There are many things that that go wrong with having a tablecloth like this that a child can pull. For the first couple of months it's fine. For the few months until your child becomes mobile, it's probably fine. It's a nice decorative touch. As soon as your child starts scooting on the ground, you're going to want to pick this up and just completely eliminate the tablecloth. Another hazard that you might not think of is something like a rocking chair. The mechanisms on the bottom of the rocking chair can very easily entrap little fingers causing broken bones and cut skin. Be sure that once your child starts crawling around, that you move the rocking chair that the baby's not going to ever be alone in. You want to leaves their nursery and you bedroom a place that is comfortable and safe for them to crawl around in and to explore. Again, things like this are things that you wouldn't really think of, but they are real dangers for your child."
