"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we're talking about different ways that we can help keep our family safe at theme parks. Now one of the things that you're really going to want to take into consideration is the weather. Obviously you can attend a theme park any time of year but a lot of the times there, it's very hot at a park. You want to really be sure your family is protected from the sun. You should all wear hats and sunscreen and be sure that you cover your child in sunscreen, not just their face but their arms and their ears and behind their necks and their chests. Also, their legs and their feet if they're wearing sandals. You should really be sure that your child is completely protected and is wearing comfortable clothing for the sun. Theme parks can be very hot and it's really easy to become distracted as you're running around from ride to ride and become sunburned before you ever even know it or feel it. Sunburns can be very dangerous and affects that can go way beyond a day or a week. Obviously we know that sun exposure and over exposure can lead to skin cancer so you really want to be very mindful of that and be sure that your family is protected from any sort of harmful sun."
