"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village, and today I'm going to be giving you some tips on baby proofing a bedroom. The baby's crib is one of the places that your baby is going to be spending a lot of time in, and you want to be sure that it's safe. There are many things to take into account when buying a crib. There are safety guidelines that you want to be aware of and be sure that your crib meets those standards and those guidelines. If you're going to buy a used crib, you really need to go online or do research some how. Be sure that the crib that you're buying has never been recalled, that it's not so old that the paint has any sort of lead in it. You're going to want to be sure that the slats for your crib are the appropriate space apart. That they're not so far apart that a child can actually stick their head through. There are many guidelines and considerations to take into account when you're deciding on a crib. Definitely do your homework if you're purchasing a used crib. There are also some things that you're going to want to keep in mind in terms of what you put into the crib with your baby. I'll tell you about those in the next clip."
