"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village. I am the official mom for mommywood.com, and today I'm going to be giving you some tips on baby proofing a bedroom. This room here actually serves as double duty. It's a nursery and a master bedroom. There are an array of things in this room that a baby can get hurt on. You want to always be sure that you are aware of any potential danger for a child at all of the varied stages. When your child is a newborn, obviously, the child is not mobile. If the child becomes very quickly mobile and at that point, it might be a little harder to even find the time to baby proof your home. It's a good idea to sort of take into account your surroundings. When the child is very young, maybe even before your baby's born, go ahead and make sure that you're creating and environment from the very beginning that's going to be a safe place for your baby to live. You're also going to have some sort of breathing room, some sort of time to relax and not be constantly on top of every little thing that your child does. Of course, the best way to keep your child safe is to always know what they're up to. Stick around. In the next clips, I'm going to give you some tips on baby proofing this room. "
