"All right, now let's just talk very quickly about tone of voice. And you are doing this business presentation, this business question and answer period. Throughout the entire process, you want to maintain a professional tone of voice. And what I'm talking about is--we've already talked a little bit about being in the hot seat, so forth and so on. You don't want to take on a casual tone or too casual of a tone during the question and answer period. It is still a business presentation, you are still a business person, you are still trying to get something. Get some business, get an action to take place, whatever it is. So keep your professional tone. You will probably, if it's a big assembly, be using a microphone. So you're not going to have to really worry too much about people in the back hearing you, but whether you have a microphone or not, you need to make sure that you are being loud enough for your presentation and your questions. Because a lot of times what will happen--Joe out in the audience, he's asked the question and the whole place can't hear him. That's another reason for repeating the questions. I'm going to repeat and say this loud enough for everyone to hear that Joe wants to know XYZ. So you want to keep your tone, keep articulating your words just like you would in any other business presentation."
