"Alright, first let's very quickly talk about nervousness. Now, if you are getting ready to give a speech or even while you're giving the speech, you are probably very nervous, and a lot of things happen when you're nervous. Your palms might start to sweat, you might start to shake a little bit, your mouth gets really dry. Well, one of the key things to do to reduce some of that anxiety, to reduce some of that nervousness, is to take that nervousness and turn it into energy. Okay, I'm kind of shaking, I'm going to take that, it's a negative and I'm going to take it and make it a positive. You know what? I'm nervous, but I'm on fire. And turn it into energy. And nervousness, turned into energy, is actually what gives the sparkle to so many public speakers. Most people are nervous, even if they're highly trained professionals, they get nervous before they speak. But what they have done, is they have practiced taking that nervousness and turning it into energy and that has made them great. And it can make you great, too."
