Video Transcript

"Hey everybody. My name is Matt and I am speaking to you here on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am going to be teaching you about iMovie. For those of you who don?t know what iMovie is it?s a piece of software that lets you edit video. And then you can go in and add sound effects, transitions and different things to your video. iMovie comes standard on a Mac. Depending on what operating system you?re running you will most likely have either iMovie HD or iMovie 2008. I am running HD currently. But both programs are pretty similar. The things that you learn in this, in these lessons can be used for either. iMovie isn?t as robust as other software, other video editing software. Such as an Adobe product like After Affects or Premiere. Or even something like Final Cut. But like I said it does come standard on a Mac so it?s free and if you know what you are doing you can make some pretty cool videos. Some really professional looking videos. And there?s some cool effects and things you can do. Which we will get into a little bit later. But let?s go ahead and start learning iMovie."
