"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Paul Anderson from the ABC Circus here in Hollywood, Florida and we're going to do how to be a clown! Now if I played that song at an adult party, everybody's going to know you're talking about a hillbilly aren't ya? But little kids might not make that association so the difference between material for adults and material for kids is quite large. When I do a kids show and there are adults in the audience I always throw in a few jokes for the adults because why not? The party and the show is for everybody, not just the kids. But frequently kids will be afraid of clowns, so if I walk into a room and a child starts to cry, I quickly look at the other children and say, "Is anybody else going to cry, raise your hand" no one else wants to raise their hand and admit that they are going to actually cry. But sometimes adults are afraid of clowns too, or just say, "I don't like clowns". And then I just look at them and say, "I don't like clowns either....they taste funny" or make up your own bit."
